Frances Karim Chiroque has completed a Masters Degree in Music from Conservatory of Puerto Rico with a major focus in Classical Guitar, making her the first puertorican female obtaining this diploma from this recognized institution. She has studied her undergraduate and graduate degrees with world renown musicians such as Iván Rijos and Manuel Barrueco. In August 2021, she is continuing her studies with the second semester of Masters in Library Studies(MIS).

Awarded with a Berklee Scholarship and selected for Wilson Center Guitar Competition as semifinalist, Frances dedicates her love and commitment to represent the classical guitar community from Puerto Rico in every venue she performs.

Ms. Chiroque has been selected for a donation of a $15,000 value guitar thanks to a partnership of Connor Guitars (Stephan Connor Luthier) and Augustine Strings family, in efforts to give hope in her musical career after Hurricane Maria(2017) in Puerto Rico. She has recently published a Bolero CD which is dedicated to one of Puerto Rico’s spanish traditions recorded by Segarra Music, PR.

Frances Chiroque has worked as professor at Esc. Libre de Música Antonio Paoli which is one of the six public schools in Puerto Rico specialized in music for young students from 5th grade to 12th grade.

Prof. Chiroque is one of the founders of Puerto Rico Guitar Project (PRGP), a non-profit organization. PRGP creates an annual Festival, Competition and Tours offering concerts and masterclasses in public and private music schools around the island. PRGP's mission is to enhance education, guitar community and music culture in PR and other countries through collective volunteer work.

Puerto Rico Guitar Project Fest celebrates Puerto Rico’s classical guitar community by inviting local artists to offer quality workshops and performances. PRGP Fest 2021 will be held next May , 2021.
